CZ responds that user funds are safe, calls it 'a hack on Binance', thanks Tether for a ~$971M freeze and Circle for a ~$823M freeze, and saying he no longer manages Binance.com but as a shareholder expects user funds fully covered. - [Unverified claim of $5.6 billion Binance hack sweeps X as @cz_binance says user funds are safe and Tether/Circle froze ~$971m and ~$823m](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/binance): On 2026-10-29 and 2026-10-30, posts circulating on X said the world's largest crypto exchange Binance had been hacked with over $5.6 billion stolen, listing $1.45 billion BTC, $875 million ETH, $234 million TRX, $50 million XAUT, $1.57 billion USDT, $823 million USDC, $75 million WBETH, $88.5 million RLUSD and $447.5 million additional cryptocurrencies, and calling it the largest hack in crypto history; these are unverified claims from the posts, not confirmed facts. On 2026-10-29 and 2026-10-30, posts sharing a statement attributed to @cz_binance said user funds are safe, that it does look like a hack on Binance, and credited quick freezes from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m), with CZ adding that he no longer manages Binance (.com) but as a shareholder expects all user funds will be fully covered. - [North Korea named by FBI as culprit in $6.3B Binance hack, the largest in history](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/north): North Korea launched a suspected ballistic missile and moved self-propelled artillery toward the South Korean border. Separately, South Korea faced a series of AI-driven hacks targeting banks and financial firms, with Daishin Securities reporting a leak of 38,490 customers' data. In crypto, North Korea was accused by CNN and the FBI of the $6.3 billion Binance hack on October 29, 2026, the largest in history, with stolen ETH being laundered via DeFi. A post claimed most stolen USDT was frozen. Discord announced that public server messages will become searchable on Google from mid-December, with opt-out settings. - [ICE (NYSE parent) and trade[XYZ] announce plan to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to US markets, pending CFTC approval](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/ice): On 2026-10-29, @realazkicks, @web3tokenomics, @akoredetwt, @mathburn666, @blockstargram, @uncledividends, @itscoinnoisseur and others (13 tracked-account posts reviewed) amplified the announcement that ICE (parent of NYSE) and trade[XYZ] plan to use Hyperliquid as the infrastructure layer, via HIP-3, to deploy perpetual futures markets for US traders across crypto, equities, commodities, FX and other RWAs — subject to regulatory/CFTC approval. The structure: Hyperliquid = infrastructure, trade[XYZ] = market design, ICE = regulated market and clearing. trade[XYZ] said its Hyperliquid markets have surpassed $650 billion in volume in just over a year; @sershokunin noted trade[XYZ] launched its first Hyperliquid market 381 days ago. A reposted @WatcherGuru item claimed HYPE pumped 13% to $91 on the news — that price move is a claim by the account, not verified here (no market block provided). - [Halloween 2026 in crypto: Jupiter ships $250 Trick-or-Treat packs, Peylay runs a 5-day NFT vault giveaway](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/halloween): Crypto's Halloween week lined up behind two time-boxed, explicitly Halloween-branded product drops. JupiterExchange told followers it is "handing out candy for next 3 days," with the mechanic being a $250 Trick or Treat Pack pull that is not eligible for any other pack pull, and a quote-tweet of the pull replay required; solanagaming amplified it, saying the "Trick-or-Treat packs are officially HERE" and going live with Jupiter to open them, in a post boosted by @agaltsow (Oct 31). Separately, Peylay ran #PeylayVault, a giveaway running Oct 27–31 in which one mystery NFT "escapes EVERY day" — 5 days, 5 winners, 5 NFTs, including @GodHatesNFTees pieces — promoted by @Peylay and reposted by @tenmetax (Oct 26), @crispyduck (Oct 27) and @zygopsyche (Oct 28). Smaller Halloween drops filled out the week: Minotaur_Man's 'All Hallows' Eve' 72-hour open edition at 0.01 ETH (RT'd by @scooter_mcgee, Oct 29) and @Ponderman_'s 'Solanaween Party' 150-edition piece at 0.05 SOL on @mallowdotart (RT'd by @degenghosty, Oct 31). Notably, the biggest single push came from exchange/chain accounts that were not tracked in this dataset: OpenSea's offer to reply to commentors with a custom video and picture "to kick off the weekend" (RT'd by @crispyduck, Oct 30), Base's "Base is open on Halloween / Base is open every day" (RT'd by @moneypaiger, @madebyshun and @tamilcrypt0, all Oct 31), bonk_inu's pumpkin joke (RT'd by @cryptos6_bk10x) and injective's "Ninjas are ready for Halloween" (RT'd by @zuesthekreator, Oct 29). Maniac Mansion was the week's cultural outlier: @mazrael_shib reposted @lucasartsfans' "You should play Maniac Mansion on Halloween." - [Bitcoin turns 18: October 31 brings a flood of whitepaper-day posts](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/satoshi): On October 31, 2026, @alienamarela and @0x7t3 retweeted a WatcherGuru post saying that 18 years ago today Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper. @kg13445545 retweeted a Saylor post saying that 18 years ago this minute Satoshi lit a fire in cyberspace. Several tracked accounts retweeted anniversary posts from @heyibinance, @100trillionUSD, @BitcoinArchive, and @Excellion on October 31. @stefcrypto71 argued that Satoshi's wallet cannot be hacked even with quantum technology because it is pre-seed-phrase era from before 2013 and only has keys. @unvint posted a thread explaining that brute-forcing Satoshi's private key is practically impossible, citing 2^256 possible keys and 3.7 x 10^60 years to test them. @smokiemahoney and @lfilistin retweeted a TaikiMaeda2 post arguing Zcash can fulfil Satoshi's vision and mentioning Project Tachyon for quantum resistance and 50k TPS. - [Binance says a compromised DevOps laptop let an attacker submit unauthorized withdrawals; total impact estimated around $6.3B with ~$3B frozen on-chain, as CZ and Yi He insist 'Funds are SAFU'](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/safu): Binance's initial investigation suggested the security incident may have involved a compromised DevOps engineer's laptop that allowed an attacker to access a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions, with no evidence of any wallet private key leak. Binance estimated the total impact at around $6.3B and said roughly $3 billion had been frozen on-chain with the help of blockchain partners. Binance said its subsequent investigation uncovered additional points of breach beyond the laptop, calling it a complex attack coordinated with law enforcement, and that it was still on track to resume withdrawal service in 45 hours. Richard Teng said the attacker did not simply use one engineer's permissions and that this was not a single 'one-click' action, describing a more complex attack process. Binance said it would cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company's own funds, and that user funds were safe. CZ posted 'User funds are SAFU!' and described a pregnant Binancian who pulled an all-nighter alongside hundreds of Binancians, with help from industry friends and competitors. Yi He posted 'User funds are SAFU.' Yi He thanked the Ripple team for promptly freezing approximately 200 million, with the note that user funds are SAFU. CZ said Ledger's supply chain in Singapore is compromised according to SG police and told crypto friends in Singapore to be extra careful. Nikita Bier's post circulated widely: the largest crypto exchange just experienced the largest robbery in human history and the person running it is posting 'Funds are SAFU!'. A Solana token promotion ('STONKS PARK · FUNDS ARE SAFU') used the incident as a meme narrative, including the claim that North Korea hacked Binance for $6 billion. A skeptical post argued a single DevOps laptop could not move $6.3B across eight blockchain networks in 15 minutes without tripping internal alarms, multisig requirements and withdrawal limits, and that stablecoins have centralized kill switches. - [ICE and trade[XYZ] tap Hyperliquid to bring 24/7 perpetual futures to US traders, with Kraken's Payward aiming to be the first CFTC-regulated HIP-3 deployer](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/hyperliquid): ICE, trade[XYZ] and Hyperliquid announced a plan to use Hyperliquid as the infrastructure layer to deploy perpetual futures markets for US traders across crypto, equities, commodities, FX and other real-world assets, subject to regulatory approvals. In the structure, Hyperliquid serves as the underlying technology infrastructure via HIP-3, trade[XYZ] designs and implements the markets, and ICE operates the regulated market and clearing structure. trade[XYZ] said its markets on Hyperliquid have surpassed $650 billion in volume in just over a year and that, subject to CFTC approval, trade[XYZ] and ICE plan to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the United States. Payward, the parent company of Kraken, announced its intention to be the first CFTC-regulated deployer on HIP-3 markets, using Hyperliquid as the infrastructure layer for US perpetual futures clients, with Bitnomial (its CFTC-regulated DCM and DCO) as the HIP-3 deployer and NinjaTrader Clearing (its CFTC-registered FCM) carrying client accounts, subject to regulatory approval. @chameleon_jeff wrote a first-person post framing the ICE, trade[XYZ] and Hyperliquid announcement as the next chapter for American markets, recounting NYSE history and ICE's origins as an electricity-trading platform in 2000. Account @gumsays posted that Stanley Druckenmiller's first tweet ever is about Hyperliquid, citing his record of never having a losing year in 30 years and averaging roughly 30% annual returns. - [Bybit says it's unaffected and offers support as the Binance hack dominates exchange talk](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/bybit): On 30 Oct, @benbybit said Bybit was unaffected and operating normally, with user funds safe, and offered support to Binance and the broader crypto community after the Binance hack. @star_okx said the recent incidents involving Bybit, Bitget and Binance should be a wake-up call and that security should never be a commercial competition. A separate post from @Mayorwhistle10 had claimed Bybit was 'fully hacked as well'. - [Binance hot wallet drained for ~$2.5B; Aave freezes DAO-operated V3 and V4 markets to stop the attacker borrowing](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/uniswap): @cryptoblaney posted that the Binance hacker allegedly deposited stolen USDT into Aave as collateral to borrow ETH instead of holding it in a wallet. @cryptoblaney stated Tether froze $1.5 billion in USDT and Circle froze $800 million in USDC. @cryptoblaney said Tether can freeze USDT sitting in a wallet but cannot freeze the ETH the hacker already borrowed. @0xQuit described the attack chain: a delegate contract deployed from the relayer at 15:59 UTC, an EIP-7702 authorization transaction about four hours later installing malicious delegate code on Binance 14, then a call executing the delegate code. @aave posted that Aave is aware of reports of a potential incident affecting Binance-affiliated wallets, that Aave's contracts are unaffected and positions remain overcollateralized, and that as a precaution all DAO-operated V3 and V4 markets were frozen, pausing new deposits and borrows while users can still withdraw and repay existing positions. @AggrNews posted that AAVE FROZES LENDING MARKETS TO PREVENT BINANCE HACKER BORROWING, per onchain data. @mzeller credited Tether, Circle and Aave Labs with reacting fast and reducing the impact. @FabianoSolana posted a timestamped timeline: Oct 28 attacker receives 3x 0.1 ETH from Tornado Cash; Oct 29 15:59 malicious delegate/sweeper contract deployed after testing on 3 smaller wallets; 20:04-20:09 233M XRP (~$293M) moved from Binance-linked XRPL wallets (unconfirmed); 20:20 EIP-7702 delegation activated on Binance 14; 20:24 main Binance 14 sweep of 167,464 ETH, 1.615B USDT and 60+ other tokens, ~$2.5B total; 20:24:47 Binance 16 to same attacker destination with 28,006 ETH. @MSBIntel posted that Jupiter Lend has $981.24M in active loans on Solana, more than Aave has lent on any network except Ethereum, with Aave's next-largest at Plasma ($756.40M) and Compound V3 at $648.53M across all networks. @aave posted that incentives are live for USDC suppliers in the Aave V4 Coinbase Tokenized Stocks Hub on Base, with users able to deposit USDC to earn rewards on top of the base rate; @ethandefi_ called it one of the safest places to lend USDC on Aave at 5.79% APY against tokenized stocks issued by Coinbase. @ethandefi_ posted that Aave and Fluid are already working on allowing stablecoin loans backed by BTC held with custodians like Anchorage, in the context of Chainlink CustodySync with Anchorage as official launch partner. @QuintenFrancois posted that Chainlink launched 24/7 pricing for tokenized stocks, commodities and RWAs, and that Aave is already adopting it for institutional lending. @Nikitont posted that @EthenaPay added Earn+, offering up to 12% APY in one tap via an Upshift/Steakhouse vault on Aave v4, with no lock-up and withdrawals within 24 hours. @Scott_eth posted buyback math for ethereum:0x0c1c1c109fe34733fca54b82d7b46b75cfb71f6e against a $48.4B GPU-backed debt market, using Aave's ~25x revenue multiple to value CHIP at $1.5B FDV. - [Gold's slide drags Bitcoin into the same trade as Coinbase's Brian Armstrong calls BTC the only scarce asset left](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/gold): Gold hit $3,870 on Oct 31, described by @0x_Kun as an asymmetry level with ~10% downside and multiples of upside, and China's central bank buying in September was its largest monthly purchase in 3 years. On the same day, silver fell 6% and gold 3.5%, Intel fell 30% (worst day since 1974), Reddit fell 26%, and Bitcoin fell 4.5%. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said Bitcoin is the only scarce asset left, that scientists proved they can turn mercury into real gold, and that BTC supply is capped at 21 million. Vatican state media called Bitcoin a store of value scarcer than gold and a safe haven because its supply is fixed unlike fiat. Injective launched Injective Options on testnet one day after its Super Intelligence Compute Index ($SICI), covering SICI, US500, US Tech, Gold, Silver and Oil with fully backed calls and puts. Polymarket launched 15-minute gold and silver price prediction markets, found under Finance -> 15m. KASTxyz is hosting a Gold Party in Mumbai on Nov 5 at 8:30 PM IST at AER, Four Seasons Hotel, tied to EFDevcon. A roundup post claimed gold and silver are nuking, trillions were wiped from the US stock market, Binance was hacked for $6B, and quantum computing threats and layoffs are adding to a rough macro phase. Primus announced a collaboration with @CournotProtocol bringing zkTLS-verified web evidence to prediction markets and exploring private credit and onchain finance. Primus works on zkTLS-based Proof of Reserves so exchange reserve reporting can be cryptographically verified rather than relying on screenshots. Primus has a Primus Points campaign on Base where users connect a wallet, install a Chrome extension, complete verification missions and use zkTLS to verify activity from platforms including X, GitHub, Spotify and Luma; XP is a reputation score and not a guarantee of token rewards. Primus's zkTLS and zkVM split separates data verification from computation to avoid weak public verifiability in native zkTLS operations. Primus supports both MPC and Proxy approaches to web proofs with different trade-offs in how TLS data is verified. Primus's SDK shifts computation into the attestation so Boolean comparisons and cryptographic hashing can be verified without revealing underlying data. A relayed post stated Polymarket suffered a breach via a compromised third-party provider and Binance reported a security incident with an estimated $6.3B impact. Primus's zkTLS and zero-knowledge proofs can verify the origin of data and prove facts such as meeting a threshold without revealing exact balances, which matters for institutions moving onchain. - [FBI confirms North Korea's 'TraderTraitor' stole $6.3B from Binance — largest crypto hack in history](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/fbi): The FBI confirmed North Korea was responsible for the $6.3 billion Binance crypto hack. The FBI said North Korea was responsible for the theft of more than $6 billion in virtual assets from Binance on or about October 29, 2026, referred to as 'TraderTraitor', and that the actors were converting stolen assets primarily into Ethereum. The FBI announced North Korea was behind the $6.3 billion hack of Binance, now the largest hack in history, and North Korea was previously accused by the FBI of the $1.5 billion Bybit attack last year and the 2022 theft of $620 million. Approximately $8.7 billion was lost to crypto hacks in 2026 so far, with around $7.3 billion from four North Korea-linked incidents including Binance ($6.36B), Bitget (~$387M), KelpDAO (~$293M) and Drift (~$285-295M), about 84% of losses across 322 incidents tracked by DefiLlama as of October 30. Elysium posts say Pumpfun will be available from launch in the Elysium ecosystem, with trading starting November 9. Pumpfun announced X Layer is live in the Pumpfun app, letting users trade every X Layer token from one USDC balance with no manual bridging or wallet switching. Pumpfun ran a $2,500,000 Squads Competition; day 1 leaders were Dabal, CtrlTheNarratve and Underground, followed by CATEVENGERS and Beachballs. A #BOYCOTTPUMPFUN rundown states Pumpfun signed trader Kimchi in a reported multi-million dollar deal on Oct 20 and launched a marketing push with a $KIMCHI token, that $KIMCHI ran to ~$43M, and that it reportedly fell ~98% after a QR code to a copycat coin was posted and a repost was deleted. The rundown also states Pumpfun announced the $2.5M Squads trading contest right after with no word to traders who lost money, which is when the hashtag took off. Posts say #BOYCOTTPUMPFUN was trending and dominated timelines, with comparisons to when Nikita Bier united CT. A podcast/timeline post titled 'What is @Pumpfun doing wrong?' lists the Kimchi controversy, criticism, Pumpfun App flipping Fomo, long or short $PUMP, Stonk/Pons and $PUMP pairs. sapling announced it is moving its launches off Pumpfun and migrating to Raydium LaunchLab, citing more flexibility and control. fomo cofounder @seyong said there are already too many tokens today after denying plans for a Pumpfun rival Solana launchpad. Arbitrum listed Pumpfun among the newest teams growing the programmable economy on Arbitrum in its 'Arbitrum Autumn' post. A post about the Squads competition argued only existing projects should be tradable and no new launches or bundles should be allowed. Binance posted that its initial investigation suggests the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer's laptop, which allowed an attacker to access a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions, and that it found no evidence of a wallet private key leak. @weirdamoto claimed Binance's incident is a $6.3b 'laptop hack' and called the same-day combination with Elon Musk posting about Hyperliquid 'fishy', floating an inside-job theory and fearing a Hyperliquid hack could break the market. @realazkicks posted that BNB went green on suspicion the hack was an inside job. @0xstephen_ argued Binance's $6.3b loss from 'one devops guy's laptop' doesn't add up because BTC and Tron got drained with normal txs and you cannot move BTC without the private key or signer, adding that Binance isn't telling the full story and users deserve a real post-mortem. @kais3rp claimed it was 100% an inside job, that the actors waited for the biggest stock-market dump in 22 years on $GOOGL, and that they had massive shorts on majors open. @richardnhsu posted that one of the largest DEXs facilitated the $LAPTOP launch, the token is down 90%+ from highs, it was sniped, liquidity was pulled, and it 'could be an inside job too'. @oldhawksol posted that 'the BNB hack was an inside job' and separately claimed the Solana team has a deal with major exchanges to manipulate the token's price; in another post he said one incident was an inside job and the other was a hack. @litecointa replied that the inside job is 'proven to be NK'. @bitcoinbombadil said he still thinks it is 'probably an inside job' and cited NVGhey hosting Casey Rodamor on his podcast during the 2023 spam attack as a red flag. @mranorld93 called the hacking story 'nonsense' and said it is definitely an inside job. - [Soneium confirms $SONEIUM ecosystem token and tokenized IP model, TGE still undated](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/soneium): Soneium announced on October 26 the $SONEIUM ecosystem token tied to a tokenized IP model, with TGE details to come later. ICE and Stan Druckenmiller's family office (tagged by posters as @standuquesne / 'stan') are making a strategic investment in trade[XYZ]. Hyperliquid co-founder Jeff (@chameleon_jeff) posted about the ICE/trade[XYZ] deal, calling it the next chapter for onchain markets in the US. @prjx_hl posted 'Hyperliquid is coming to the United States. Several accounts used the phrase 'Shoku mode' around the news, including @dhruv_sniper ('Shoku mode is on !!) and @thenestintern ('shoku mode!'). Other posts this week referenced 'shoku' without tying it to a specific development (e.g. @igorslat posting to Elon Musk about shoku going to Zucker, @filthy_hl asking if Elon has heard of 'shoku mode', @iwantlambo saying shoku could be on the Time magazine cover next month, @realazkicks critiquing a Grok explanation of how underrated Shoku is, and @gghostbo4 greeting 'shoku'). - [$PREDICT tokenomics goes live: 7% Season 1 pool with 35% instant claim or 12-month vest as Binance Futures pre-market shows $1.5B FDV](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/creator-rights): @predictdotfun announced that Season 1 is nearly over and released $PREDICT tokenomics: 7% of the 1B supply goes to Season 1, with a choice between an instant claim of 35% of allocation or a 12-month vest for the full allocation. At the $1.50 Binance Futures pre-market reference price, the Season 1 pool is worth about $105M, and one point would be worth about $0.08 instantly or $0.22 vested if 470M eligible points split the pool pro rata (that point total is an estimate). $PREDICT was trading on Binance Futures pre-market at around $1.5B FDV, and @krishna__web3 noted a Polymarket market giving it a 61% chance of crossing $1B FDV one day after launch. - [ECB's Lagarde announces February exit as crypto accounts spin theories over her bandaged appearance](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/european-central): On 29 October 2026 Christine Lagarde announced she will step down as European Central Bank President in February; @pete_rizzo_ called it a huge win for BTC, citing her earlier \"worth nothing\"/\"based on nothing\" comments on Bitcoin. Posts amplified a theory about Lagarde appearing with a large bandage on her face, claiming she is being forced out to make way for an end to central bank control; the \"track resignations\" framing was posted by @joelange and later by @paulgoldeagle. Separately from the departure news, a viral thread claimed the EU's anti-money laundering package already makes cash payments above €10,000 and anonymous regulated crypto transfers illegal, with dates given as January 2027 and July 10, 2027. A @fredmartinezst post quoted an @24hrscrypto1 post saying Lagarde commented on the stablecoin industry and pointed at two dominant players, one trying to comply with regulations while the other does not. On prediction markets, a French-language account reported Christine Lagarde's odds on Polymarket moving from 0% to 3% the day she announced her ECB resignation, alongside David Lisnard passing Edouard Philippe. - [](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/made-whole): - [$LAUNCH rug-pulls on Solana: dev posts he's "done with the token" and deletes his account, days after a StonkFun-paired launch](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/hyperlauncher): $LAUNCH rugged after the dev posted that he was done with the token and deleted the account, per @cryptogorilla's October 28 memecoin recap. @libraxbt said the $LAUNCH rug came less than 48 hours after a tweet of his, and then shilled $zcat. @richardnhsu used the $LAUNCH chart on October 29 as the example of how a fast LP-and-supply dump looks, while warning that $FLOAT looks like a rug. On October 30 @richardnhsu listed $LAUNCH alongside $FLOAT as new launchpads/projects that are rugs and advised checking holder distribution and liquidity before buying. @weirdamoto asked on October 25 whether the team keeps all fees for itself with no $LAUNCH buybacks. @isebelanick said $LAUNCH blocks repeat use of the same tweet and trades with Stonk's $STONK on Solana. @isebelanick later asked whether someone would launch their next coin through Launch too, calling the $STONK pair on Solana interesting and framing a return usage as the real test. @brita_lisa described Launch using each coin's attributed creator-fee proceeds to buy that coin and burn the tokens, with fee forwarding depending on StonkFun and the split estimated from volume rather than an unconditional onchain guarantee. @pasarsegar_bpn said $LAUNCH on Solana picked a loud opponent, quoted an "End Pump's reign" announcement, and noted Launch uses StonkFun's trading infrastructure while proposing different launch rules. @pavelthedev said turning the Kimchi drama into a $LAUNCH shill was pretty good marketing. @kureenbtc posted $LABDOG and $LABRADOR pairs with $LAUNCH at MC 2M. @richardnhsu's quoted post from defade_ states that for $FLOAT, 29 bundles across 119 wallets bought 25.6% around launch, bundlers now hold 21.71%, snipers hold 8.27%, and 48 fresh wallets hold 24.6% with 35 bundle-linked. - [Crypto Twitter braces for Wednesday's FOMC rate decision: hold at 3.75%–4.00% expected, Warsh's 2:30pm presser is the real trigger](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/rate-decision): @jimbo_finance posted the week's first macro preview on 2026-10-26 at 06:35 UTC, saying the Fed decision is Wednesday and rates are expected to hold at 3.75%–4.00%, with attention on Warsh's guidance on future hikes. The FOMC rate decision was scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, with a 2:00 PM ET announcement and a 2:30 PM ET Warsh press conference, according to @cryptorover and @btcbarbells. @cryptorover told followers on 2026-10-28 that the Fed's current and forecast range was 3.75%–4.00%, that a hike would send markets down hard while hold or cut would rally markets, and that huge volatility was expected. @ashcrypto said on 2026-10-28 that markets were pricing a 93.4% chance of a pause and 6.6% chance of a hike, and framed the outcome as dovish Warsh = pump, hawkish Warsh = dump. @tedpillows claimed on 2026-10-27 that the last FOMC decision saw $BTC bottom the exact same day and then pump 16% in a week. @btcbarbells contrasted the FOMC rate decision dropping tomorrow at 2pm with a random post from President Trump, asking which moves the market more. @fredmartinezst argued that the bigger transformation in global finance — DTCC tokenization, SWIFT shared-ledger work, and Ripple, Stellar and Canton positioning — is not waiting for Powell or the FOMC. @bastiaan_eth described the FOMC rate decision as the day-before event while noting Bitmine ($BMNR) closed up 3.20% and calling the largest Ethereum DAT stabilizing. @pudgy_xd listed the FOMC rate decision on 10/28 as part of a big macro week that also includes Q3 GDP and Core PCE on 10/29 and earnings from Google, Microsoft, Amazon and Apple. @jimbo_finance's macro week preview also flagged PCE expected at 3.6%, GDP growth around 3.2%, and a BOJ rate decision Friday expected to hold at 1.25%. @andreeatomoiag3 said on 2026-10-28 that bitcoin consolidation remained likely ahead of the FOMC rate decision and described a pump followed by a fire dump. @andreeatomoiag3 said on 2026-10-26 that the Nasdaq had declined in recent sessions and, until the FOMC rate decision, price was likely to consolidate below or retest the 21 SMMA, with relevance to $BTC. - [Polymarket halts trading after DebugBear third-party compromise drains ~$2.65M, promises full reimbursement](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/affected-users): Polymarket temporarily halted trading after a third-party tool (DebugBear) was compromised, resulting in about $2.65 million in unauthorized withdrawals; Polymarket said affected users will be reimbursed. Polymarket Japan posted that Anthropic IPO shares will be sold in Japan, with Mizuho and MUFG-group securities joining the underwriting syndicate and a filing with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau expected. @unvint noted AI models answer 'NO' when asked about the Anthropic IPO. @acomathordave said he is holding off on buying the Anthropic IPO for the sake of humanity. @iwantlambo joked about the top 100 companies rolling over right before the Anthropic IPO and listed the IPO among the chatter filling the timeline alongside FOMC, gold and the Chinese AI bubble. @skrubjayy quoted the take that a successful Anthropic IPO could test investor appetite for AI valuations amid infrastructure-spending and financing-cost concerns, and used it to promote the @169Pi_ai Solana token solana:aqQRs3UJmHs7ktoLo46HZAzvG9P3oCoZ41nENqFbory. @btcbarbells noted Anthropic IPO news, TSLA up 5%, ARM up 6%, and Bitcoin still parked at 80K. - [Polymarket frontend reportedly compromised: top trader @CarOnPolymarket says $800k drained, platform moves to cancel-only mode](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/polymarket-frontend): On 2026-10-29, accounts reported that the Polymarket frontend was compromised: @liquidatedxxx relayed top trader @CarOnPolymarket saying his account was drained for $800k around 17:45 UTC and a friend lost $600k, with positions sold, and @aaalex (3,275 likes, 333k views) said the frontend was injecting a malicious script to sell positions and withdraw funds. @world_xyz reported the platform restricted trading to cancel-only mode and paused relayer actions. @liquidatedxxx noted the incident looked similar to a June frontend supply-chain attack, and @rinku_web3 later described it as a compromised third-party vendor introducing a malicious script, alongside a separate Binance security incident. - [Intel's $0.25 guidance triggers ~25% dump across stock and INTC perp](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/intel): Intel's next-quarter adjusted EPS guidance of $0.25 versus the $0.52 just reported sent the stock down more than 10% by 2026-10-30, with posts claiming drops of roughly 25% for the stock and 27% for the INTC perp. @kropanchik noted the INTC perp was around $68 and that Intel revenue grew 21%, framing the move as a trap for both sides. @iwantlambo added that Intel's CEO sold about $10 million of his stock at $95 a few months earlier, calling him exit liquidity. Intel's earnings were scheduled for Thursday earlier in the week. - [Polymarket hit by third-party script hack as Binance outflows dominate the week](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/polymarket-got): On 2026-10-29, @0xngmi posted that he tracked $2.7M in losses from a Polymarket hack and that the attacker compromised a web performance tracking company whose scripts were loaded on Polymarket, exposing every visitor to the site. @buildwithsid's October recap listed Polymarket got hacked alongside PHP, Railway, OpenCode, Binance, GitHub Actions, SoftBank, Cursor marketplace, Coinbase vendor, Fireworks AI, LiteLLM, Capcom, npm packages, TiDB Cloud and Warp's vendor. @healthranger quoted @autonomous_chad claiming Polymarket is requiring hack victims to sign an NDA with full KYC and a no-public-criticism clause to receive refunds. The Polymarket claims were dwarfed by the Binance story: @watcherguru reported over $5.6B stolen across BTC, ETH, TRX, XAUT, USDT, USDC, WBETH and RLUSD, and @wallstreetbets summarized up to $5.8B in suspicious Binance outflows, Tether freezing over $1.5B in USDT and Circle over $800M in USDC. - [Scott Bessent tells Ripple's Swell conference the US is "going to win" in crypto and stablecoins will fortify the dollar](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/treasury-secretary): US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said America is "going to win" in crypto, telling Ripple's Swell conference "We are going to win in the digital asset stack" and that it will "continue to fortify the dollar." @fredmartinezst quote-posted Coin Bureau's Bessent remarks and argued major financial institutions are building tokenization, custody, payments and settlement infrastructure, saying it is no longer just about speculative trading. @watcherguru posted that Treasury Secretary Bessent says crypto stablecoins can strengthen the US dollar's global dominance. - [CZ and Elon trade barbs on X and crypto Twitter picks sides between Binance and the trillionaire](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/stfu): @litecointa said Elon led DOGE, called it the biggest fuck up of all time that cost thousands of lives, and that he is in no position to say a word @gghostbo4 told CZ not to do it because 'the whole ct is talking about u and elon fighting' @clutch0x_ said both of them are willing to dump everything but their $drooling allocations @cryptogodius said you cannot compare Binance to FTX @solid_primal addressed Elon about 'space x too' and used the caption 'Binance crime lord' @northernes89739 said the account was out of pocket shilling Hyperliquid right before it happened @piratebtc said being 'BNB guy' and telling anyone other than Binance to get their shit together right now is wild @blockstargram mocked with 'To do what? Pour them garri?' and separately said funds are just SAFU - [Hyperliquid (HYPE) Momentum Draws Attention After 30% Rally from $75–$80 Zone](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/hyperliquid-native): @senorpandahere posted that their target for hyperliquid:native before 'the news yesterday' was $1000 and now it is $10,000. @senorpandahere commented that people are still bearish hyperliquid:native and suggested they let others 'buy at $900'. @lordsambrah posted 'hyperliquid:native Thanks for playing.' with a link. @mrpresentable2 expressed being more bullish than ever, mentioning hyperliquid:native as the chosen alt of the cycle and Robinhood chain as the chosen chain. @oldhawksol compared hyperliquid:native's $2.6T in perp volume to JUP's $56B and suggested JUP decouple from Solana, quoting @toly. @minnus asked @elonmusk and @standuquesne if a linked image about hyperliquid:native is bullish. @louisdives posted 'The game is over. Hyperliquid. Send hyperliquid:native to $100 now.' quoting a post about ICE bringing perpetuals to the US using Hyperliquid. @sebiisb posted an update saying HYPE held the $75–$80 zone and rallied nearly 30% to ~$97, with $97–$98 as the next barrier. @lordsambrah said hyperliquid:native has serious momentum and triple digits look closer. @aragornwindbrkr analyzed that hyperliquid:native dipped 24% after hitting a $98 target and is at 10-month channel support, watching 0.236 and 0.382 fib areas. @louisdives mentioned a Binance hack (unverified) and suggested Hyperliquid S3 or Variational Airdrop as ways to survive. @blockhunta posted 'Like clock work hyperliquid:native' with a link. - [Lula wins Brazil's 2026 election, B3 circuit breakers halt trading, and CT spends the week arguing over the reaction](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/lula): The election happened on Sunday 2026-10-25 and Lula da Silva won, defeating Flávio Bolsonaro. @scratcherrrr posted the numbers Lula 51.8% and Flávio 48.2%; post counts treat numbers posted by accounts as claims by those accounts. @dhruv_sniper wrote that over $200B was wiped out from the Brazil stock market at open on Monday 2026-10-26 and that Brazil suspended trading on stock markets today due to circuit breakers. @scratcherrrr wrote that on Monday EWZ was -26% premarket, B3 halted by circuit breaker, the real down more than 10%, Itaú -20% and Petrobras -16%; the market block is 'none', so these are single-source account claims and post figures that conflict with each other (33%, ~15%, 26%) should be treated as unverified. @usdtoma wrote that the currency fell about 10% overnight and Brazil stock funds trading abroad dropped around 15%, and that investors are scared of more government spending, more borrowing and higher rates. @dhruv_sniper said the move looked like too much of a reaction and that he is long EWZ on @variational_io, expecting a return to reasonable valuation. @bautidefi said to wait for the bounce and sell Brazil, that 2019 was Brazil's moment and no capital should go in until Lula is finished. @scratcherrrr said he got the winner wrong and that Flávio, whom he said was 84% three weeks earlier, lost. @simonlevymx said Flávio Bolsonaro arrived safely in the United States and US Secretary of State @SecRubio was the mastermind of the operation; @btchydra187 quote-tweeted it with 'Incredibly based. Fuck Lula from the north and the south'. On Wednesday 2026-10-28 @genxdegenerate said 'Wait til Brazil sees what we do to them. Lula is in a heap of trouble', and later that day doubted that snatching Lula is the next step. @0x_zerg replied that it is 'a pretty serious accusation' and asked what exactly Lula did. @moralesbchain wrote, quoting @avelinoreau, that 'pode ser anulado' only applies if their side loses: if Lula wins, life goes on; if Flávio wins, they will annul it. @iwantlambo joked 'lula more like luna' with a Brazil skull emoji. - [Polymarket halts trading ~1 hour after a third-party breach drains users; says it will reimburse and refers incident to UK law enforcement](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/polymarket-s): On 2026-10-29 reporters said Polymarket users were being drained in real time, with roughly $2.68M reportedly stolen in about an hour through Polymarket's own deposit wallet infrastructure; a previously empty wallet started receiving funds at 17:05 UTC, hit $412K by 17:25, $2.02M by 17:50 and peaked at $2.68M at 18:05, with suspicious activity still recorded at 18:10 UTC. (Unverified.) On 2026-10-29 bitcoinnewscom reported that Polymarket halted trading after attackers allegedly exploited users' active sessions to sell positions and withdraw funds through Polymarket's own system, that the attack reportedly originated from a compromised DebugBear website performance monitoring script replaced with malicious code, that trading resumed after roughly one hour, and that Polymarket says affected users will be reimbursed and the incident has been referred to UK law enforcement. On 2026-10-30 icplegend1966 amplified the same report, describing Polymarket halting trading after attackers reportedly drained user funds without stealing passwords or seed phrases via a compromised DebugBear monitoring script and malicious JavaScript delivered through a trusted third-party dependency that executed inside users' browsers. (Unverified.) On 2026-10-30 yichuan_drive said Polymarket was hit for roughly $2.6m in a third-party breach, and also referenced a roughly $6.3b Binance incident with around $3b frozen so far, and a claim by @CarOnPolymarket of an $800k drain shortly after Polymarket's announcement. (Unverified.) On 2026-10-29 akuwazir said four reasons explain why Polymarket is 'getting hacked to dust', citing a fresh CFTC investigation into whether Polymarket violated a 2022 enforcement settlement requiring it to ban U.S. users, and an internal team plus Polysights and Bubblemaps investigating dozens of newly created wallets suspected of insider trading around a Benjamin Netanyahu market. (Unverified.) Separately from the hack, on 2026-10-25 ikarusz26 said Polymarket fired its chief marketing officer Matthew Modabber, who was closely allied with CEO Shayne Coplan, per a New York Post report following an internal investigation, and speculated his $POLY hint before Token2049 was intentional. On 2026-10-25 vadim_web3 said Polygon $POL has 25x more than NEAR and that this most likely excludes Polymarket's pUSD, which adds another $500M. On 2026-10-25 aduwaye77 described testing @Bagel_win to trade prediction markets from a phone, saying it hooks into Polymarket's global liquidity (accessible in 150+ countries) and offers 1-tap copy trading and a social feed. On 2026-10-27 charlitosrosa and charlesnisz both said Datafolha puts the risk of Flávio Bolsonaro fleeing at 47% with a 3% margin of error, Quaest's 'likely fugitive' model puts it at 49%, and Polymarket odds are 75% for no flight. On 2026-10-26 carlosmaslaton said Polymarket expresses wishes rather than electoral will or a political machine's ability to swing voters, and salgadowisk said Polymarket did not only turn on Zanin's decision because models already predicted the reversal. - ['Binance getting hacked' sweeps Crypto Twitter after Hyperliquid false alarm](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/narratives/getting-hacked): @gmartin_0 said the biggest crypto exchange was getting hacked, called it scary times for buying #Bitcoin, and said his $77.5K and $76.5K BTC orders were filled with a $76.2K average and liquidity between $72K-$74K. @gmartin_0 later said BTC was still holding above 75k despite the Binance hacking news, and that bears claim they called it. @iwantlambo said everyone was joking about Hyperliquid getting hacked that day but it ended up being Binance. @akuwazir said Elon Musk trolled CZ over a security incident, called trolling another tech sector for getting hacked a bad look, and cited NEAR, which froze an exploit on its chain the same day it faced a hack of its own. @akuwazir said cold wallets are getting drained, hot wallets exploited, protocols hacked, that groups like Lazarus continue to target the industry, and that user fund protection is an afterthought. @signalcalls declined to post about Binance getting hacked, saying followers are already aware. @murkiwaters said even self-custody is not safe and hardware/self-custody wallets are getting hacked too. @blockstargram said banks have also been targeted and are getting hacked. @mranorld93 said with all the exchanges getting hacked, it is time to go decentralized again. @0xgambit7 said crypto can barely go two months without another protocol getting hacked and that today it was @Polymarket. ## The trenches (daily pump.fun themes) Board day (UTC): 2026-10-26 Updated: 2026-10-27T07:32:13.213Z - [Viral animals](https://www.neversidelinedagain.com/trenches/viral-animals): 285 distinct callers, 578 calls, 8.5% of all calls (-1.1 sd vs its 14-day norm), phase peaked;
