What happened

HEX, PulseChain and PulseX founder Richard Heart (legal name Richard James Schueler) was reportedly arrested in a dawn raid in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district, per multiple posts on 2026-10-14. @watcherguru (1.5M views) said he was arrested in Turkey by Interpol, @crypto_banter said Turkish intelligence and police detained him on a Red Notice and that cash, luxury watches, firearms and computers tied to crypto activity were seized, and @bitcoinnewscom stated the operation was joint intelligence and police, that he was wanted under an Interpol Red Notice issued at Finland's request, and that $600,000 in cash, 24 wristwatches, 20 gold bracelets, 7 gold necklaces and 7 firearms were seized. @coinbureau and @early4lph4 added that he was detained alongside his wife, with @early4lph4 saying the Red Notice was requested by Finland in 2024. @coinbureau reported PulseChain's PLS fell about 45% amid the arrest reports, and @crypto_banter said he faces alleged large-scale crypto fraud involving the U.S., Finland and Spain. On 2026-10-17 @libertyswapfi posted an appeal to President Trump, arguing the notice is for alleged Finnish tax matters, not a U.S. criminal charge, and that the SEC civil case was dismissed in 2025 for lack of jurisdiction. The arrest reports and seizure figures come from the accounts posting them and have not been independently verified here.

Why it matters

This is the week's single biggest Richard Heart development and the one the most distinct accounts converged on: @watcherguru, @crypto_banter, @bitcoinnewscom and @coinbureau all posted the arrest, turning it from a community talking point into a mainstream crypto-news event. It also produced the week's clearest split inside the HEX/PulseChain community: on 2026-10-14 @brandonbbme argued the arrest proved Heart had 'abandoned PulseChain for nothing,' while @peplord said 'an entire industry spent today talking about one man' and framed $HEX and PulseChain as now in the world's view. @libertyswapfi's 2026-10-17 appeal to Trump is the first pushback this week aimed at contesting the legal basis of the detention rather than just defending Heart.

Observed reaction

Sharply divided and mostly negative outside the community, defensive to resigned inside it. @brandonbbme called Heart a 'con man' who betrayed followers and said the arrest made his earlier behavior pointless; @lordamne called him 'the most brilliant scammer in history' and mocked defenders; @z3ro_5um posted 'I'm here to FUD Heart.' @peplord instead framed the attention as evidence of Heart's staying power and said 'I persist. I don't go away.' @libertyswapfi pushed a due-process argument to Trump, and @thealtcoinchief listed the community's accumulated losses (PulseChain sacrifice wait, SEC case, eHEX vs pHEX, pDAI liquidity drain, the arrest) while noting they 'still show up.'

      Risks

      • The arrest details, seizure figures ($600,000 cash, watches, jewelry, firearms) and fraud allegations come from news accounts posting them and are unverified here; treat them as reported, not confirmed.
      • @libertyswapfi's letter to Trump presents a one-sided legal defense of Heart and should not be passed on as established fact.
      • No price predictions or trading advice: the reported ~45% PLS move is @coinbureau's number, not ours.
      • Commentary attacking Heart or his defenders by name should be avoided; avoid amplifying harassment of individuals, including his wife or named community defenders.

Honest question to the PulseChain community. Richard Heart literally abandoned all his followers. Threw them all to the wolves. He lived like a king, prioritizing himself at the expense of all of you, who so staunchly defended him for years. How do you take yourself seriously
