What happened

Ukraine's war with Russia saw a new volley of infrastructure exchanges this week, but for crypto accounts the most distinct thread was operational disruption on the Ukrainian side. A Parody/aggregator account posted that Starshield, the government-controlled Starlink tier used by Ukraine's military, was capped at 160 km/h (100 mph) for about a day, cutting connections to anything moving faster; Ukrainian officials said interceptor and strike-drone missions failed and drones were lost, and Elon Musk pointed the finger at the White House. Separately, dashboards on @darklord_gr and @augustbtc logged Russia's overnight barrage (39 ballistic missiles and 120+ drones) on Kyiv, the Kyiv region and Kharkiv, where combined heat and power plants were hit and about 600,000 people lost power, and a drone strike that set Rosneft's Ryazan refinery on fire as Zelensky told the Financial Times a three-day pause requested by Washington was over. None of these events were market-moving for crypto.

Why it matters

The Starshield cap is the kind of infrastructure failure that turns a kinetic war into a visible operational crisis for a crypto-native audience, and it lands alongside resumed strikes on both sides rather than a de-escalation. For markets, the only read-through is the old macro one: @bastiaan_eth said the Ukraine/Russia and Iran/USA conflicts are not good for markets long term, and @kayblockchain flagged the set of wars as looking uglier. No market block was supplied for this story.

Very astute. Yes we are Russian allies now, like we were during WW2 while Ukraine were NAZIs. We are dumping Ukraine and working with Putin. The natural order of things has corrected.
