The @XRP account was created Oct 15, 2026, bio says it is run by Ripple and the XRPL Foundation, stayed silent 4 days, and its first post went out at 16:08 UTC on Oct 19; Ripple replied 6 minutes later. @XRP's first post was 'hello, world. It's about time.' — quoted by @fredmartinezst as XRP finally having its own official home on X after more than a decade. The account was verified with 10,000+ followers before posting, and crossed 100,000+ followers within a couple of hours of the first post.

Why it matters

The @XRP handle going live gives the token its own official voice on X for the first time, separate from Ripple and the XRPL Foundation, and the market infrastructure already in motion — DTCC tokenization, Ripple Prime's RLUSD-collateralized institutional stock trading, and RippleSwell on Oct 27–29 — means the account arrives right as institutional rails around XRP are being built. It also gives XRP a standalone brand to rally behind heading into a heavy Q4 calendar.

Observed reaction

Overwhelmingly bullish and celebratory: tracked accounts welcomed the account, called it 'the strongest community in whole crypto' (@vet_x0), 'about time' (@fredmartinezst), and a standalone-brand win (@rahilbuilds). The bullish read is reinforced by DTCC and Ripple Prime news arriving the same week. The only counterpoint in the data is timing: the account posted nothing after Oct 20 in this set while chatter kept going.
