What happened

On October 31, 2026, @alienamarela and @0x7t3 retweeted a WatcherGuru post saying that 18 years ago today Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin whitepaper. @kg13445545 retweeted a Saylor post saying that 18 years ago this minute Satoshi lit a fire in cyberspace. Why it matters

The anniversary is the single development that most distinct accounts are engaging with, and it sits alongside a broader conversation about Satoshi's wallet, quantum resistance, and treatment of Craig Wright. For a crypto-native team, this is a ready-made cultural moment that ties Bitcoin history to current debates about security, scaling, and the original vision.

Observed reaction

Largely celebratory and proud, with most posts thanking Satoshi and marking the milestone. There is a smaller current of technical debate, with @stefcrypto71 and @unvint arguing Satoshi's wallet cannot be hacked, and @MarkAttwood using the anniversary to claim Craig Wright is likely Satoshi.

@stefcrypto71 argued that Satoshi's wallet cannot be hacked even with quantum technology because it is pre-seed-phrase era from before 2013 and only has keys.

05

@unvint posted a thread explaining that brute-forcing Satoshi's private key is practically impossible, citing 2^256 possible keys and 3.7 x 10^60 years to test them.

@smokiemahoney and @lfilistin retweeted a TaikiMaeda2 post arguing Zcash can fulfil Satoshi's vision and mentioning Project Tachyon for quantum resistance and 50k TPS.

Angles

  • Break down why Satoshi's original wallet.dat file cannot be brute-forced, using the 256-bit key math and the fact that seed phrases only came along in 2013.
  • Recap the whitepaper anniversary by contrasting Satoshi's original peer-to-peer electronic cash goal with today's scaling and quantum-resistant debates, including @ebfull's Project Tachyon for Zcash.
  • Fact-check the recurring Craig Wright claim by explaining the evidence timeline and why the anniversary brings it back.

Risks

  • Do not treat Craig Wright as Satoshi without clearly labelling it an unverified claim from @MarkAttwood.
  • The GhOSTDAG or other deep technical posts are not the main anniversary story, but if referenced, avoid implying any single chain fulfils Satoshi's vision.
  • No price predictions or financial advice around Bitcoin or ZEC.

It can never happen even with quantum technoligy! Satoshi's wallet is pre seed phrase era ( seed phrases came along in 2013 ) it only has keys to access the wallet and those keys impossible to hack.
